MACON TUCKER . your eyes even put the city lights to shame, baby. It was as if everything that had happened over the last few days were out of a dream, like none of what took place was never reality, just a list of fictional events he could only wish for in a dream. Although with the fact of every time Macon would pinch himself, to reassure that it wasn't a dream, the short jolt of pain told him it in fact was reality. Just knowing that fact made him all the more light-hearted and joyful, to know he is actually with Lauren again and in love, it was such an amazing feeling to him. It wasn't something that he had ever really felt before, sure he had gotten close to it with Wednesday Potter, but he had never hit it home, not like he had with Lauren. For once in his life, he felt content and just happy with everything, there was nothing that could bring him down - except for Lauren dying or getting sick. Which hopefully, none of that was going to happen, not until a long time.
The humid air around him was a burden on his lungs, which made it a little harder to breathe as he started to come to the end of his daily three mile jog, he had ran earlier that morning, but Macon had to again, his energy level was getting out of control. He had taken a right turn onto his street and gradually slowed himself down to a walk, with his hands on his hips, he was taking in deep breaths. Brown eyes examined the cracks in the cement as he moved along, glancing up quickly, brushing his wet and sweaty bangs out of the way, he was coming up to his building. Walking through the entrance, he glanced at a few people, and headed for the elevator, it took near around five minutes, before Macon was taking his keys out of his back pocket and unlocking the door to his penthouse. The moment he opened the door, he was greeted with the whines and barks of Sami, the puppy Lauren and he had adopted from the pound two days ago.
Turning around the corner into the kitchen, he looked at the small puppy just staring up at him from a rather huge, spacey black kennel. Macon had to leave him in there when he was gone, because he didn't want to find any accidents while he was least expected of them. A big smile was spread out over his lips as he made his way over to the cage, kneeling down he opened the latch and swung the door opened and Sami attacked him, causing Macon to become unbalanced and he fell over, while the puppy managed to get up to his face and licked it. "Alright, alright! We'll go see Mommy, okay?" He spoke in defeat, chuckling. Taking her in his hands, he stood up and placed her back down on the ground, before he turned around and headed toward the bathroom, and Sami followed. Grabbing a clean towel, he started the shower and waited for the water to warm up, he glanced down at Sami, who had curled up and on the towel that Macon had pulled out for him to dry himself off with, he just laughed and shook his head.
After stripping himself of what clothes he had on, he slipped into the shower and soaped himself up and rinsed himself off, before turning the water off and he stepped out, dripping wet. Hating to disturb Sami, he walked into the hall, getting water everywhere, and got another towel from the closet. Drying himself off right there, he wrapped the towel around his waist and walked into his room, picking out a new pair of brown boxers, ripped jeans, and a navy blue t-shirt. After getting dressed, he had the wet towel in his hand and he went into the bathroom to pick up his other dirty clothes and turned off the light, leaving Sami to sleeping where she was. Dropping the dirty clothes into the laundry room, he went back into the kitchen and grabbed his biker boots and went to the family room and sat down on the couch, slipping both of them on and lacing them up. Macon glanced up at the time and knew it was an okay time to go over to Lauren's, and it wasn't a very long trip for Sami, considering Lauren was only two floors above him.
Once he finished lacing his boots and put his wallet and cell phone in his back pocket, he headed back into the bathroom and picked Sami up and she slowly started waking up, and attacked his hand with licking. Planting a kiss on the top of her head, Macon turned around, leaving the towel on the ground, and headed back out of his place, making sure his door was lock as he left, he headed for the elevator and went two floors up. As he came to Lauren's door, his hand grabbed his wallet in his back pocket and grabbed the key, and unlocked the door. Opening it, Macon stepped in and closed it behind him, as well as locking it again. His hair was still wet, but it wasn't dripping water anymore. As he stood there, at first he didn't think Lauren was even home, until he heard the faint sound of water hitting tile. She was in the shower, which made Macon shift his weight and raise his eyebrows.
Knowing that she wouldn't be much longer, he just headed toward her couch and laid down on his back, resting Sami on his stomach, he started to rough house with her, laughing softly as she bit his hands and just gnawed on his knuckles. He thought about everything while he was waiting, he thought about those two years that he had spent away from Lauren, he thought about how much he had missed her. Macon knew that she was the one for him, the one he wanted to be with for the rest of his life, even though it was a little ridiculous to be thinking about that, when he was only twenty one years old, but he didn't care. Lauren was so incredibly special to him, no one could even begin to understand it. Macon hated kids, but having kids with Lauren, getting married to her, everything that he used to be so against of - he wanted it all with her.

When you smile at me you know exactly what you do Baby don't pretend, that you don't know it's true. .
- - - - - - - - -
- - - - - -Everything that had happened in the past few weeks was just a huge whirlwind of different types of madness for the eighteen year old. When Lauren had heard that Macon was back, her initial reaction was shock, but still mixed in with it was relief. Not hate at first, but relief. Because the truth was she still loved him, even if she never wanted to admit it, even to herself. She was relieved, knowing that he was actually alive and seemingly in good health. When he had left two years before at the end of the summer of 2006, Lauren had been absolutely devastated. More than that really, heartbroken and completely depressed. She just assumed that he had left because he didn’t like her anymore, that he hated her so much that he just had to leave to get away from her. She didn’t understand what she had done, what had gone wrong that had made him leave. Everything had seemed so perfect before they left, they loved each other and the relationship was great except for the occasional normal couple fight. It was just great, and for the most amazing and wonderful person she’d met to just leave like that broke her heart. Relationships afterwards failed, she was too hung up on Macon to even take much of an interest in anyone else. And you couldn’t blame her; she hadn’t gotten any closure at all. She even told people for a two good months that she was still dating someone; telling people to just wait and see – he’d come back. But he didn’t, not until now anyway. But in a sense Lauren didn’t really want closure; she just wanted all of it back. And now it finally was back, and she couldn’t be more happy.
- - - - - -The eighteen year- old’s wavy blonde hair spread across her lavender pillow showed the girl was still sleeping soundly at eighty thirty in the morning, a rather glorious thing in her mind. Waking up early for early morning swim practices at four thirty were rather strenuous and annoying, or even waking up at six or seven to go to work. Her cat Hermes walked in a powerful yet light way across the bed until it reached Lauren and sat in front of her and began meowing. It continued to meow for about a good thirty seconds before Lauren’s pea green eyes slowly opened and looked at her cat in annoyance, although she wasn’t really mad. Getting woken up by her cat was much better than an alarm clock. “Ugh what do you want Hermes…” Lauren mumbled, and the question came out more like a simple groan like statement. The cat she’d adopted four years ago with Zeus Ledbetter was probably hungry, of course. Like its mother it had grown to liking to eat a lot, and the cat was borderline overweight. The cat meowed once more and Lauren sighed and sat up, “Fine…” She groaned, getting out of bed dressed in a pair of black soffees and a blue t-shirt. Moving into the kitchen the cat followed swiftly along to its bowl and sat by it while waiting for Lauren to pour some food into the bowl. She did so and then returned to her bedroom and yawned as she got out a towel to shower with. She walked to the corner of her bedroom and into the bathroom where she closed and locked the door behind her and stripped her clothes off.
- - - - - -Fifteen minutes later, she shut the shower off and stepped out, not aware at all that her boyfriend was in the other room stretched across her couch. Wrapping the towel around her, she walked out of the bathroom and looked around for her comb. She grew frustrated when she looked all over her dresser and all around the room for it. Groaning as she opened up her bedroom door and was slightly relieved when she saw it sitting on top of her TV across the room. Walking out of the bedroom towards the TV, she gasped when she saw in the corner of her eye Macon stretched across her couch with Sami lying on top of him. “Oh my god.” She said, catching her breath. “Sorry, I didn’t hear you come in.” She said as her shoulders relaxed and she grabbed the comb. She smiled as she looked at her baby, her new puppy Sami that she and Macon had adopted a few days ago. They hadn’t had her for long but she already adored the dog. She was just too adorable, and she was glad that she and Macon had something of their own. “Hey sweetie!” She said in a loving voice as she petted the puppy’s head. She then leaned down, holding the towel as she kissed Macon lightly on the lips. “Hey baby.” She leaned back up and retreated to her bedroom, a little embarrassed that Macon had caught her in a towel but she was comfortable enough with him to where she didn’t mind too much. He had just caught her by surprise since she hadn’t heard him come in. She’d given him a key to her apartment a few days ago, and since then he had been pretty much living with her. Last night had been the first night in four nights that he hadn’t slept over, and Lauren really didn’t mind. She liked having him around, there when she woke up, there when she came home from work or swimming, there when she went to bed, she loved it. It was almost like they were playing married, and it was great.
- - - - - -Going in her closet to change, she dropped the towel and changed into a blue shirt and jean shorts. After combing her wet blonde hair, she joined Macon in her living room. Not wanting to bother him nor Sami, she pushed Macon’s legs to the side of the couch and sat down, sitting opposite from him. She reached across and pet the puppy’s back as it sat on its daddy. With her other hand she rubbed Macon’s lower leg affectionately, just for no reason besides she liked touching him and she loved him. “So how long have you two been up?” She asked. Sami began to lick Macon’s shirt and she just laughed a little as it stopped and began to chew on Macon’s knuckles again. Leaning forward she laughed as she scooped the puppy up and set it on the ground, “Okay Sami that’s enough.” She said. She readjusted herself so she was lying down on top of Macon now, “My turn.” She grinned as she gave Macon light kisses on his lips. Sami only jumped back up on the couch and laid in the little room that was left next to Macon’s legs and Lauren only laughed before kissing Macon again. God she loved this man. Things couldn’t get more perfect.

MACON TUCKER . your eyes even put the city lights to shame, baby. The man had been so wrapped up in his thoughts and playing with Sami, he didn't realize Lauren walk out from the bathroom with only a mere towel wrapped around her, until she actually had said something and he jumped a little, startled, as well did Sami. Brown eyes looked up quickly at the blonde girl standing shocked in a towel and it made Macon laugh a little, just because seeing Lauren like that, it was rather funny. Smirking, he cleared his throat and shook his head, "I may have to start coming over unexpectedly a lot more if I get to see that." He remarked, his smirk still very visible. His tongue gliding over his lips as he looked down at Sami and smiled, watching as she locked her jaw around one of his knuckles, just nonchalantly gnawing on it. It was amazing to Macon how such a small thing with such little baby teeth could cause so much damage, his hand was already scratched up and bleeding a little. Not that he was really worried about it, considering he could have easily prevented it, but he enjoyed rough housing with Sami.
Lips were spread out in a soft smile as Lauren patted the puppy on the head gently, and as he brought his head up and his gaze to stare up at her, his smiled grew a little more as she greeted him with a kiss, and he cherished it. There was nothing better to Macon than a kiss, it wasn't too much nor was it too little, and especially one coming from Lauren Piner - the one person who he would ever consider kissing these days. No one else so much as appealed to him a little bit. Her beautiful, angelic words fluttered into his ears and he just found himself lcosing his eyes and leaning back against the couch as she turned to go back to change into some clothes. Clenching his jaw, he chuckled lightly to himself as he opened his eyes and looked down at Sami, who was staring down at the carpet with her head tilted sideways. It wasn't very long before Lauren was back out and fully clothed, and the moment she had came into view, Macon just could not keep his eyes off of her. He just did not know what made him so lucky to be able to be happy with someone, he didn't know what he did in his life to deserve this. He had done nothing extremely heroic in his life.
Shifting his weight on the couch to make room for her, he looked down at Sami and then looked back up at her as she spoke, he leaned his head sideways a little, "Oh, not long. Just a few hours." He muttered, he swallowed as she picked up Sami and placed her on the ground, and his brown eyes looked up at her as she laid herself upon him. Macon smirked, adjusting himself so he was at a comfortable angle. Making a few groans, he laughed into her lips as she kissed him, his face tightened with every smile. His hands rested on her neck, brushing away a few strands of hair from her face and behind her ear. "God you are amazing." He whispered as he finally broke their mess of kisses, and he opened his eyes slowly, staring at her beautiful face. Thoughts raced through his mind, but the most obnoxious one that he had held onto was the whole marriage thing. They had gotten into talking about marriage, and Lauren had told him that she wasn't ready. Now of course Macon respected that, just because he didn't want to rush or pressure her into anything.
Another rather alarming thing was sex. Boy, had it been three years since he got anything and it was exhausting and frustrating. Usually Macon was okay and it didn't bother him, but many things reminded him of sex and once he got thinking about it, it just got his body frustrated and pissed off. Before he had gotten with Lauren, he used to sleep around a lot, with tons of different girls and now he just suddenly stopped for three years, it caused a lot of problems for him emotionally and physically. Talking about it with Lauren was out of the question to him, he didn't want to bring it up and possibly cause some trouble between them. That was the last thing Macon ever really wanted, he was finally happy and he didn't want his stupid needs to mess everything up. It just brought fear into him though, because he was scared that if his needs did get the best of him sometime and he ended up cheating on Lauren. God, he would so rather die a torturous death than cheat on her. It made him sick to his stomach just thinking about it.
A sigh escaped his lips as he thought about this all and sudden sadness washed over his face, something he wished hadn't, but it was too late to take it back or hide it. Brown eyes looked down at his chest, before he looked up into Lauren's beautiful eyes, and he smiled softly, as if sadly. "I love you, Lauren Piner. I really hope you know that." He reassured her, backing up his saddened look and sigh. He felt Sami gnawing on his boots, which made him bust out laughing softly, and he looked down at his feet to see the little mutt pup with her mouth wrapped around what of the boot she could get a hold of. Clearing his throat, he looked back at the love of his life and had a sideways smile, "Ya know, you alone in a shower, it really sounds very off. I think two of us alone in a shower sounds perfect, don't you?" He couldn't help but lean up against her lips for a kiss after that one.

When you smile at me you know exactly what you do Baby don't pretend, that you don't know it's true. .
- - - - - - - - -
- - - - - -When Macon had returned, Lauren was surprised by how easy it had been to be normal and comfortable with him again. Of course after she had yelled at him and she’d gotten over what he’d done to her. If you looked at them now, it was almost as if he had never left. They acted the same as before he had left, happy and acting like a normal couple who were so in love. You could just tell how comfortable they were with each other obviously by the fact that Lauren had just walked in front of him in nothing but a mere towel, which had to be saying something. Okay maybe not for a typical Los Angeles couple, since most of the rest had already seen each other completely naked and had had sex, but compared to the regular average couple, Lauren thought that said something. Especially in the beginning when she got so worried about how she looked when she would go to see him, examining every inch of her face in the mirror to make sure she looked good, to make sure he didn’t think she looked gross or anything. When now it was easy for Lauren to be around him with no make up on. Well not easy, Lauren being her insecure self she still worried a little and was self conscious about those things, but not as much as she had been in the beginning. There were other things too like not having to worry if she was being too… boring. As in they didn’t have to go out all the time to have fun. They were content just hanging out at one of their apartments and relaxing together.
- - - - - -Once the blonde had climbed on top of him, they seemed to get lost in a mess of consecutive light kisses. She giggled softly, not in a childish way, but just a light chuckle as he called her amazing. Just little random things he said like that made her smile. No boyfriend had ever complimented her in that way before and it was just nice to hear things like that. He treated her like a princess, and she liked it. Not in the conceited way that she thought she deserved it, but it was nice. “You are too.” She looked into his pretty twinkling brown eyes before kissing one last time for the moment, this one being longer than the others before pulling away and resting her head sideways on his chest. Her arms were wrapped around him and she got to thinking as she laid there on top of him. It frustrated Lauren a lot that Macon had to leave. Just for the obvious reasons because it had hurt her a lot, and she had that doubt at the beginning that he ever actually loved her, or even cared about her at all. It just seemed like a huge lie to her when he had left. The shock that everything was fine and back to normal was still there a little. But that wasn’t her only frustration, now that she knew that Macon really did love her and still did, she wondered if they would have still been together if he hadn’t had to leave. She really believed they would have, that they would have been together for three years now if he hadn’t left. And that frustrated her because now it was somewhat like they had to start over, but with that same comfort level as it had been before he had gone. Now they could only say they had been together for a little over a year, with a huge break in between. And that sucked. If it had been the three years, maybe it would have been easier for Lauren to consider getting married to him now. But at this point she didn’t think she was ready for that. She was sure she wanted to marry him someday, just not now. She wished he had never left; it would just have made things so much easier.
- - - - - -Looking up just in time to see the sadness that had washed over his face and hear him sigh, Lauren gave a bit of a frown. She didn’t look that sad, but her content smile had faded. She knew him too well to know the difference between his sighs. As stupid as it sounded, it was true. When he was tired he sort of groaned as he sighed, and if he was sitting he usually sort of fell over, rubbing his face. Almost as if he was frustrated, which he sort of did then too. This sigh was different, she could tell by the sadness on his face and just the way it sounded. He seemed so fine and happy to see her just a minute ago; she didn’t know what was wrong. She was about to ask him what was wrong when he looked up at her and spoke. She looked at him with a concerned look on her face but just smiled. “I love you too Macon.” She said, kissing his cheek lightly. "But what’s wrong?” She asked. She turned at the sound of Sami gnawing on his boot. She told the dog no in a sweet but firm voice but the puppy continued chewing, and Lauren said it again and this time the puppy stopped and rest its head on top of the shoe, looking guilty. Lauren just laughed and turned her head back around to Macon. She looked at him and a slight grin grew on her face at his words. There it was again. Something she might have been comfortable with if they’d been together for three years. But it wasn’t fair to him to ‘punish’ him just because he had had to leave. And it did sound fun….so maybe. After he had kissed her she replied, “Mmm maybe. We’ll see.” Lauren said, kissing him again lightly. “I think that would be fun though.” She mumbled into his lips, this kiss being a lot longer and slower than the others. She flicked her tongue over his lips lightly. Her hand found it’s way under his t-shirt at his love handle, rubbing the skin ever so lightly.
